Sales Account Manager – Defense Agencies
Location: Remote
About the Role
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling Everfox products and services to the U.S. Federal Government or subcontractors, specifically focusing on Defense Agencies prospects and customers. The role develops new accounts and expands existing ones within an assigned agency or geographic territory. This position plays a critical part in achieving sales targets, managing pipeline activities, collaborating with channel partners, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to Defense Agencies prospects, customers, and resellers to identify, manage, and close sales opportunities.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer/prospect engagement to achieve or exceed assigned targets.
- Manage product mix in alignment with agreed business objectives.
- Provide timely follow-up, closure, and tracking of all identified opportunities.
- Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries using appropriate methods.
- Produce regular pipeline reports and forecasts for business developed and closed.
- Work closely with channel partners to develop and close new business.
- Use customer/prospect activity tools and systems, updating relevant information such as forecasts.
- Engage appropriate sales resources as needed.
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
- Assist the Renewals Team with timely renewal of existing contracts.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Key Knowledge and Skills
- Strong prospecting, phone, and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to close business while maintaining high levels of customer and partner satisfaction.
- Experience with Salesforce.com, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and internal information tools.
Key Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years selling within the Federal Government Defense sector.
- 3+ years of related experience in a high‑tech software company, preferably within a two‑tier distribution environment and cybersecurity.
A reasonable estimate of the on-target earnings ("OTE") for this role is between:
$289,700.00-340,000.00 USDThe actual OTE offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to the OTE, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
