Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Review in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems, documenting observations and communicating concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
