Description
A Mining house based in Central Africa is looking for a experienced Section Manager
Duties:
Co-ordinate the efforts mining teams to safely and efficiently extract ore to meet targets. This requires the management of direct reports as well as specialists to achieve Meters and Tons targets as per organisational strategy and objectives. The incumbent analyses mining plans and technical documentation to guide mining process and ensures these plans are implemented to HSE and quality standards
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a degree/ diploma in Mining Engineering
- Must have a Mine Managers Certificate or equivalent
- Must have completed Leadership/ Management courses
- Must have at least 10 years’ experience working in an underground mechanised/ Trackless mine
- Must have at least 4 years’ experience working as a Section Manager
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous
