Description
Role: Commercial Vehicle Workshop Manager | Contract Manager
Location: Evercreech, BA4 6NA
Hours: 40 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £50,000 pa DOE
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the contract, ensuring vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations and contractual requirements. Key responsibilities include:- Leading and supporting a workshop-based team to deliver outstanding service.
- Driving vehicle availability, servicing, MOT compliance, and operational performance.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Managing employee wellbeing, absence, training, and performance.
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Monitoring costs, work in progress, parts inventory, and contract performance metrics.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
What we're looking for
We're keen to hear from people who have:- Experience managing a commercial vehicle workshop, fleet operation, or service delivery contract.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and compliance requirements.
- A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative capability.
- A collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.
