Company/Location Overview

This position supports the Sazerac Supply Chain team by ensuring financial control of inventory and related processes. The role also focuses on enhancing team capabilities by identifying opportunities to eliminate, streamline, and automate procedures, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement & Personal Development

    • Create and implement a personal development plan in collaboration with the manager, targeting skill improvement annually.

    • Drive continuous improvement in processes, products, services, and workplace culture.

  • Inventory Systems & Automation

    • Assist Inventory Planners in identifying and automating processes from demand planning through inventory reconciliation.

    • Collaborate with bailment states, internal IT, VMI customers, and third-party partners to reduce manual input and enhance inventory accuracy and timeliness.

  • Inventory Performance & Reconciliation

    • Measure and monitor inventory performance at bailment stockrooms and VMI locations.

    • Provide exception-based tracking and analyze root causes of inventory discrepancies.

    • Develop and implement corrective plans to resolve inventory inefficiencies.

    • Lead monthly reconciliations of vendor and bailment inventory to SYS21.

    • Coordinate and support periodic physical inventories at bailment sites.

  • Reporting & Analysis

    • Reconcile and distribute weekly and monthly performance reports, including:

      • Invoicing issues

      • Credit discrepancies

      • Customer and buy list integrity

      • Bailment adjustments

      • A/R trade health

      • Out-of-stocks

      • Truck weights

      • Inventory level discrepancies

    • Support the creation of reports for other Supply Chain functions.

  • Data Accuracy & Tool Development

    • Ensure accurate inventory reporting across the bailment team, states, and broader Supply Chain functions.

    • Develop and maintain reconciliation tools for accurate and timely data in bailment inventory, invoicing, credits, and commissions.

  • Best Practice Evaluation

    • Lead efforts to evaluate and implement industry best practices for bailment, VMI operations, invoicing, and commission management.

    • Collaborate with IT, accounting, and commercial operations to enhance systems and reporting accuracy.

  • Career Development

    • Identify and communicate career goals to management.

    • Build skills aligned with career progression and advancement opportunities.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with:

    • Manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)

    • Inventory control, perpetual inventory systems, and budgeting processes

  • Experience in process design, implementation, and improvement

  • Strong analytical and technical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing query programs on AS400 or similar platforms

  • Experience in the Alcohol Beverage Industry or broader Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector
