Role summary:The Principal, Product Manager leads product strategy across multiple related products, driving organization-wide decisions through deep expertise and data-driven insights. The global payments team leads the end-to-end product strategy for Walmart’s Payments, Directed Spend, and Unified Wallet platforms, delivering seamless experiences across eCommerce, Stores, Clubs, Fuel, and AI-powered commerce. Operating at the intersection of customer experience, commerce, and financial technology, we develop platforms for authentication, payment orchestration, digital wallets, and identity. Collaborating with cross-functional and external partners, we drive strategic initiatives that simplify, secure, and enhance payment experiences worldwide.
What you'll do:
- Define and evolve product strategies across multiple related products, leveraging domain expertise and data-driven insights to identify market opportunities.
- Lead development and management of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and resource prioritization.
- Drive customer and problem understanding through design thinking, journey mapping, and scalable feedback mechanisms to inform product decisions.
- Guide cross-functional teams in setting success metrics, validating assumptions, and optimizing product lifecycle from MVP to long-term evolution.
- Influence enterprise prioritization and strategic direction through compelling data-backed storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
- Mentor product managers and promote best practices to elevate product management discipline and organizational capability.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in product strategy and roadmap development across multiple related products or sizable product areas.
- Proven ability to leverage data-driven decision making and advanced analytics to guide product direction and prioritize initiatives.
- Strong expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional influence at senior leadership levels.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, including MVP creation, rollout planning, and long-term evolution.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring product managers and elevating product management practices.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and innovation within the payments industry and payment processing.
- Skilled in translating customer insights into measurable problem statements and strategic opportunities.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
