Today, we are looking for an accomplished healthcare executive who is passionate about driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and creating an exceptional experience for patients, physicians, and employees alike. West Jefferson Medical Center is a 324-bed hospital serving the Westbank community and has been part of LCMC Health since 2015.
As COO, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the President to execute strategic initiatives, strengthen operations, accelerate growth, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care across the organization.
What You'll Do
As Chief Operating Officer, you will:
- Provide executive leadership for the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
- Align operational strategies with organizational goals and long-term business priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead efforts to enhance quality outcomes, patient experience, workforce engagement, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with physicians, clinical leaders, and department executives to develop and advance service lines and clinical programs.
- Identify new business opportunities and growth strategies that strengthen market position and drive organizational success.
- Support financial stewardship through effective resource utilization, cost management, and revenue optimization.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between hospital leadership, medical staff, LCMC Health leadership, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at board meetings, leadership forums, and community events.
- Act as the organization's chief operational leader in the absence of the President.
The Leader We're Looking For
We're seeking an accomplished healthcare executive who brings both strategic vision and operational expertise. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who inspires teams, builds strong physician partnerships, and consistently delivers measurable results.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Five or more years of senior executive leadership experience within a hospital or health system as a CEO, COO, Senior Vice President of Operations, or equivalent leadership role
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale hospital operations and driving organizational performance improvements
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
Preferred
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
- Ten or more years of executive healthcare leadership experience
- Proven track record of financial stewardship, operational transformation, and sustainable organizational growth
