Role Description
The Learning Business Partner (LBP) serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to business leaders, leveraging deep knowledge of the organization’s goals, operations, and workforce capabilities to align learning solutions with business priorities. This role partners closely with stakeholders to identify performance gaps, assess learning needs, and recommend targeted interventions that drive measurable impact. The LBP collaborates with Learning Specialists, Instructional Designers, and other learning professionals to ensure solutions are innovative, scalable, and grounded in adult learning principles. They act as the primary liaison between the business and the learning organization, translating business requirements into actionable learning strategies and programs.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Consults and performs needs analysis by engaging with business leaders to understand strategic objectives, identify skill gaps, and define learning priorities.
• Designs solutions and recommends learning strategies that support organizational goals, leveraging best practices in adult education and performance improvement.
• Builds strong relationships with business units, ensuring alignment and buy-in for learning initiatives.
• Defines success metrics, monitors outcomes, and continuously evaluates the effectiveness of learning solutions to ensure business impact.
• Works closely with Learning Specialists and other partners to design and deliver high-quality programs that enhance workforce capability and organizational performance.
• Designs and implements enhancements to the Company’s training, learning, and development programs.
• Designs and facilitates training sessions that cater to the specific needs of various roles within the organization to enhance employee skills and productivity.
• Identifies and coordinates with external training providers to meet specific training needs as requested by various teams.
• Manages and executes comprehensive development programs aimed at enhancing employees' professional growth and preparing them for future roles within the company.
• Designs and implements targeted development initiatives for current and potential leaders to build a robust leadership pipeline.
• This role requires a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a strong focus on meeting the needs of the customer though taking a proactive, consultative and innovation driven approach to the performance and development needs of NCR Atleos’s greatest asset – its people.
• Manages Services technical instructors, ensuring that they are continually developed and utilized across NCR Atleos products and Services
• Determines training requirements and build detailed training proposals and implementation plans to ensure timely execution of training for Customer Engineers and other technical roles.
• Maintain a strong relationship with customers to ensure flawless execution of training plans
• Creates and nurtures training partnerships with other Learning roles and/or Outsource providers, supporting them to drive business.
• Act as SME on content development
• Manage all surveys and reporting metrics ensuring quality delivery of NCR Atleos courses.
• Implements and consolidates technologies, as needed.
• Perform other corresponding duties and tasks in accordance with his qualifications, as directed by Employer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in training, learning, development, and performance management
• Ability to gain buy-in and drive action across varying audiences with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and HR-related technological skills
• Attention to detail and dedication to getting things right
• Maintain high levels of organization, time management and project management skills, commitment to follow through, enthusiasm, and motivation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong (demonstrated) public speaking or presentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office products
• Proficiency with development tools (e.g. Lectora, Articulate, Captivate, etc.)
• Experienced with working in a matrix-managed organization
• Experience with NCR Atleos supported equipment (e.g. ATMs, or networking hardware)
• Must be able to flex hours as needed for global support and/or project needs
• Must be able to work in all NCR Atleos facilities as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related technical discipline OR 7-10 years of experience working in Learning or Education-related discipline
• Proven ability to work within a team environment, juggle multiple projects, and adapt to frequent change
• Ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
• Ability to visualize and verbalize technical concepts in understandable terms and be instructionally savvy to deliver clear and effective instructional content
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Experience with ATMs (i.e. NCR Atleos, Diebold or Wincor)
• Experience with networking products (i.e. Cisco routers/switches)
Travel requirements:
• Up to 20% travel (domestic or international)
