[What the role is]
EXECUTIVE ENGINEER / ENGINEER, SOLAR PROJECT (1-YR TEMP CONTRACT)[What you will be working on]
You will support the Project Manager in the delivery of a solar photovoltaic (PV) project, located at the Singapore Rail Testing Centre (SRTC) in the western region of Singapore. You will provide support in tender administration and project coordination as well as deployment and commissioning of the solar PV system.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist the Project Manager in overseeing end-to-end delivery of the solar PV project, including working with and facilitating the contractor for, but not limited to, the following:
- Concept and detailed design
- Regulatory approvals and authority submissions
- Contractor and internal stakeholder coordination
- Installation and construction supervision
- Testing and commissioning
- Handover and operation & maintenance coordination
● Monitor project schedule, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely completion
● Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and relevant authorities
● Support site supervision to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Familiarity in working with railway operations and testing will be considered favourably.
● Support implementation of site safety plans
● Monitor contractor adherence to the approved method statements and risk assessment
● Asist in resolving technical, site and coordination issues
[What we are looking for]
● Knowledge in Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Renewable Energy or related discipline)
● Experience managing solar PV projects from design to commissioning and O&M
● Familiar with authority submission, approval processes, and grid connection requirements
● Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
● Able to work on-site in the western region of Singapore
● Committed to supporting the project through to completion within the contract duration
● Project management skills
● Experience in railway environment and/or rail safety requirements
● Experience with utility-scale or embedded solar PV systems
● Familiar with testing and commissioning procedures for electrical systems
● Good communication and reporting skills
● Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced project environment
