Overview:
The Services team and solutions fuel growth for partners globally by providing cutting-edge capabilities in the areas of Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Security Solutions, Business and Market Insights, and Open Banking. Mastercard Services' Operational Intelligence (OI) team is building the next generation of intelligent financial infrastructure — combining Agentic AI, LLM-driven autonomous workflows, and a scalable API platform to fundamentally transform how reconciliation, settlement, and exception management operate across the global payments ecosystem.
We are seeking a Director, Product Management – Agentic AI & API to provide unified strategic leadership across two high-priority product surfaces:
Intelligent agentic reconciliation solutions and the API platform that enables internal and external consumption of OI capabilities. This is a senior product leadership role with end-to-end ownership spanning strategy, execution, commercialization, and team development.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience shipping complex AI/ML or platform products in regulated financial environments, a strong point of view on how agentic AI and API ecosystems complement each other, and the leadership presence to align engineering, data science, commercial, compliance, and executive stakeholders behind a shared product vision.
Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Platform Strategy
- Define and own the multi-year product strategy for the OR platform, spanning agentic AI capabilities, API products, and the integration layer connecting them
- Set the strategic direction for autonomous reconciliation — transaction matching, exception resolution, dispute management, and settlement workflows — and for the API platform that exposes these capabilities to issuers, acquirers, processors, and enterprise clients
- Identify market opportunities, customer pain points, and competitive gaps to continuously evolve the product roadmap in response to business needs and

- Develop and maintain the business case for platform investments, including opportunity sizing, ROI modeling, pricing strategy, and build/buy/partner decisions
- Represent the product vision at the executive level; present roadmaps, investment asks, and strategic trade-offs to senior leadership and board-level audiences
Agentic AI Product Leadership
- Lead end-to-end product ownership for agentic AI reconciliation solutions, including autonomous agents, LLM-powered exception handling, anomaly detection and workflow orchestration
- Define product requirements for agentic usecase— in close partnership with AI/ML and engineering leadership and core teams
- Establish standards for AI output quality, auditability, and regulatory compliance within financial reconciliation contexts
- Drive adoption of agentic capabilities internally and externally, including change management, client onboarding, and enablement programs
- Stay current with the evolving agentic AI landscape (frameworks, model capabilities, safety standards) and translate implications into actionable product decisions
API Product Leadership
- Own the strategy, design, and commercialization of the OR API platform, ensuring it delivers a consistent, reliable, and developer-friendly surface for consuming reconciliation intelligence
- Drive the API roadmap in alignment with partner integration needs across issuers, acquirers, processors, and enterprise operations teams
- Ensure the API platform meets enterprise-grade standards for security, performance, compliance, and SLA commitments in regulated environments
Commercial & Go-to-Market Leadership
- Drive go-to-market strategy for reconciliation AI and API products, including client segmentation, pricing models, packaging, and sales enablement
- Engage directly with strategic clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to validate product direction, close feedback loops, and build long-term relationships
- Collaborate with commercial, legal, and compliance teams to support enterprise contracting, security reviews, and regulatory approvals
- Define and track commercial outcomes: client adoption, revenue contribution, and expansion metrics
People Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build, lead, and develop a team of product managers spanning agentic AI and API product areas
- Set clear goals, provide coaching and mentorship, and create an environment where product talent can grow
- Establish product management practices, tooling standards, and documentation norms across the team
- Recruit for product roles and contribute to broader OI talent strategy
Stakeholder Alignment
- Serve as the primary product interface for engineering, data science, MLOps, legal, compliance, finance, and commercial leadership across both product

- Navigate competing priorities across stakeholder groups and drive alignment through clear communication, structured trade-off framing, and shared metrics
- Represent OI reconciliation products externally in client meetings, industry forums, and partner discussions
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive product management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead PM role owning platform, API, or AI/ML products at scale
- Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, enterprise-grade products end-to-end in regulated industries — fintech, payments, banking, or financial
- operations strongly preferred
- Proven experience owning API products: defining contracts, driving developer experience, managing versioning, and commercializing API-based capabilities
- Deep familiarity with AI/ML product development including LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG architectures, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices
- Strong understanding of financial reconciliation domain including transaction matching, exception management, settlement, disputes, and regulatory reporting

- Exceptional business acumen — comfortable owning business cases, pricing conversations, and commercial outcomes
- Outstanding communication and executive presence; ability to influence without authority across engineering, commercial, legal, and C-suite audiences
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across time zones
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field required; MBA with technical undergraduate background or advanced degree in
- AI/ML, Computer Science, or Finance strongly preferred
Preferred Technical Exposure:
- Hands-on familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, Strands, or OpenAI Agent SDK
- Working knowledge of API design, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, developer portals, and API gateway architecture
- Exposure to RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, and LLM evaluation tooling
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure), event-driven architectures, and distributed data platforms
- Experience with observability tooling — telemetry, monitoring, and production reliability for AI systems
