We’re seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex enterprise IT initiatives within a regulated electric and gas utility environment. In this role, you will own the full project lifecycle—from project definition and planning through implementation, release coordination, and stakeholder adoption—while driving delivery against scope, cost, schedule, and quality commitments. This assignment is centered on enhancements to a recently deployed SAP Sales and Service Cloud platform, including expansion to additional user communities, with strong ownership of demand intake, backlog prioritization, and release sequencing in an iterative delivery model.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, milestones, timelines, budgets, and status reporting.
- Drive accountability for project scope, cost, schedule, quality, and overall delivery outcomes.
- Manage enhancements and rollout activities for SAP Sales and Service Cloud across expanding enterprise user groups.
- Own demand intake, delivery pipeline governance, backlog prioritization, and release sequencing in an iterative or hybrid Agile environment.
- Establish clear communication plans and provide consistent updates to project teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and third-party partners.
- Provide day-to-day direction to cross-functional resources spanning business users, internal IT teams, and system integrators.
- Coordinate project governance activities, including risk management, issue resolution, dependency tracking, and decision escalation.
- Ensure structured change management and change control practices are followed within a compliance-sensitive, regulated environment.
- Prepare and maintain core project documentation, including charters, plans, RAID logs, status reports, financial tracking, and executive summaries.
- Partner with stakeholders to align business priorities with technical delivery plans and release readiness.
- Support successful user adoption by coordinating implementation planning, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change activities.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of IT project management experience, including 8+ years leading enterprise application projects end to end.
- Utilities domain experience, including IT project delivery for a regulated electric, gas, or combination utility.
- Working knowledge of the utility customer landscape and the operational demands of regulated environments.
- Hands-on project delivery experience with SAP Sales and Service Cloud, including implementation, enhancement, or user community rollout.
- Demonstrated success managing project scope, cost, schedule, and quality for initiatives of similar size and complexity.
- Experience leading iterative or hybrid Agile delivery, including pipeline management, backlog prioritization, and release planning.
- Proven ability to direct cross-functional teams across business, IT, and third-party delivery partners.
- Experience with structured change management and formal change control processes.
- Strong background in project documentation, executive status reporting, and budget tracking.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, planning, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: Exposure to SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities billing and related FI-CA and FI/CO integration.
