Job Summary:

Administers the end-to-end evaluation of employee leave benefits requests and manages the administrative components of non occupational and occupational cases, including FONDO requirements, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with relevant areas. Also designs and executes wellness programs that promote employees’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

Job Description:

  • Administers the end-to-end processing of all leave requests by ensuring eligibility requirements are met, maintaining active communication with employees and supervisors, and managing documentation accurately to ensure compliance with regulations and internal requirements while supporting a positive employee experience.
  • Processes workplace accommodation requests (medical or religious), ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
  •  Responsible in managing the administrative components of occupational cases, including employee interviews, referrals to FONDO, case monitoring, and coordination with Safety, Facilities, HRBP, and supervisors to support return‑to‑work processes and potential accommodations.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact with FONDO, ensuring timely communication, proper case documentation, completion of all administrative requirements, and managing any case related recommendations or modifications issued by FONDO as part of the workplace accommodation process.
  • Maintains all received documentation properly filed in the employee’s record to uphold data integrity and ensure immediate access to information and documents when needed.
  • Provides support to projects, and assists in coordinating department processes, workflows, and initiatives that contribute to operational efficiency and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Designs, plans, and executes all wellness program initiatives and activity campaigns that promote employees’ physical, mental, and emotional well‑being, and monitors employee participation to evaluate the impact of activities and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Prepares reports and informational materials related to assigned activities to consolidate results and provide area metrics that support strategic decision-making and departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and deliver effective employee experience.
  • Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards, while maintaining strict confidentiality of all information handle to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
  • Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
  • Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Additional Job Description:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources or related areas managing leave programs, regulatory requirements (FMLA, ADA), administering occupational health cases or other applicable laws.

  • Previous experience designing and implementing wellness programs is highly valued.

Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:

  • An associate’s degree in Business Administration or Health Sciences may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources, leave administration (FMLA, ADA), or administrative coordination of occupational health cases.
