The Warehouse Manager holds ultimate operational accountability for the overall performance, safety, cost efficiency, and service levels of the fulfillment center. This position leads all core warehouse functions—Inbound, Inventory, Outbound, and Facilities—ensuring seamless operational execution to support Jumia's growth and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Be Doing
- End-to-End Leadership: Lead and direct overall warehouse operations, managing functional team leads and managers across Inbound, Inventory, Outbound, and VAS.
- Financial & P&L Control: Own site-level budget (OPEX), cost-per-package metrics, labor productivity targets, and operational SLA achievement.
- Safety & Compliance: Drive site safety (HSE), regulatory compliance, security protocols, and facility maintenance standards.
- Strategic Capacity Planning: Align warehouse capacities and labor planning with commercial sales forecasts, peak trade events, and logistics networks.
- Culture & People Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee development, operational excellence, and high team morale.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Management.
- Experience: 6+ years of logistics leadership experience, with at least 3 years managing large-scale fulfillment centers or distribution hubs.
- Mastery: Comprehensive mastery of end-to-end warehouse operations, WMS systems, and logistics network dynamics.
- Team Scale: Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large teams (100+ headcount including contract staff).
- Strategic Acumen: Strong financial acumen, strategic planning skills, and a relentless focus on operational SLAs and cost control.
