Export Coordinator Specialist II

The Export Coordinator is responsible for coordinating international shipments, preparing export documentation, and supporting compliance with applicable export regulations, customs requirements, and Nordson policies. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and efficiently while maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will support the accurate, timely, and compliant movement of products to customers around the world. You will collaborate with internal teams, logistics partners, and customs brokers to help ensure a positive customer experience and strong export compliance practices.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate accurate, compliant, and timely international shipments to support customer delivery expectations.
• Prepare, review, and maintain export documentation, shipment records, and related compliance files.
• Support compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, customer requirements, and company policies.
• Review invoices, shipping documents, and export data for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with logistics providers, customs brokers, customer service, supply chain, and other internal teams to resolve shipment-related questions or issues.
• Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for export-related inquiries, documentation needs, and issue resolution.
• Maintain work instructions and customer- and country-specific export requirements to support consistent processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve export processes, documentation accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, international trade, export coordination, or a related field with a Bachelor’s degree; or 7 or more years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Export-related certification(s) and SAP experience preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with sound attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
• Comfort working with shipping documentation, export data, and compliance-related processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
