Description

Associate Veterinarian (5+ Years' Experience)

Highland Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced small animal veterinarian with 5+ years of clinical experience, strong diagnostic skills, and high proficiency in ultrasound to join our established, high-volume hospital.

This is a medical-forward GP role within a walk-in practice environment. Our hospital already has strong surgical depth, and we are specifically looking for a veterinarian who enjoys internal medicine workups, abdominal ultrasound, preventative medicine, and practicing thorough, high-level medicine in a well-supported setting.

Highland operates as a busy walk-in practice, offering a dynamic caseload and the opportunity to see a wide variety of medical cases. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys problem-solving, diagnostics, and practicing high-quality medicine in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

  • 4-day work week (~33 hours per week)

  • 3 weeks paid vacation

  • True 7:1 FTE staff-to-doctor ratio

  • High case volume with strong support infrastructure

  • Salaried position with a long-term cash incentive structure that rewards production performance

  • Opportunity to practice high-level medicine that remains accessible to the community

This opportunity is best suited for an experienced clinician who values autonomy, strong support, and the ability to practice at a high level while remaining accessible to the community.

Compensation

  • $200,000–$300,000 total annual compensation potential based on productivity plus a long-term cash incentive tied to production

  • Top-performing associates in our model have the potential to earn up to $300,000 annually, depending on productivity

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of small animal clinical experience

  • Highly skilled and efficient in abdominal ultrasound; echocardiogram experience preferred

  • Strong interest in internal medicine

  • Comfortable managing complex cases

  • Excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with coworkers and clients

  • High-performing, production-minded clinician

About the Practice

Highland Animal Hospital was established in 1956 and has built a strong regional reputation for excellence. Our state-of-the-art 9,000 sq. ft. facility, opened in May 2019, is fully equipped with specialized spaces for cats, large dogs, ICU, surgical recovery, shelter quarantine, respiratory quarantine, and parvo quarantine.

We operate with a high support staff ratio and structured systems designed to allow doctors to focus on medicine rather than logistics. Our hospital supports both advanced medical diagnostics and strong surgical capabilities within a collaborative team environment.

This is not a churn-and-burn environment. It is a performance-oriented practice built for experienced veterinarians who want professional autonomy, excellent support, and meaningful income growth.

If you are an experienced GP who values strong technician support, diagnostic depth, and performance-based earning potential, we welcome a conversation!
