Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist / Full-stack Application Engineer who aspires to learn, enjoys working with others, loves to innovate, and can apply the right technologies to solve a wide range of software and data problems.

To be a successful candidate, you must demonstrate a passion for learning new technologies, frameworks, development tools, and business domains. You must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, which you will use to work with customers and peers to analyze needs, fix problems, and collaboratively drive new application functionality and value.

This role will use modern frameworks and technologies to create and maintain a wide variety of data analytics, data visualization, and reporting solutions that enable Micron’s engineering teams to deliver products that power our customers’ innovation.

We are also looking for someone who can think beyond coding, understand operational impact, improve system maintainability, and continuously enhance both user experience and developer experience. Candidates with a DevOps mindset, testability mindset, and experience using AI-assisted development tools are highly preferred.

Qualified candidates will have experience with the following technologies:

\- Windows; Linux experience is a plus.

\- Client / server and web development methodologies.

\- JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, Angular, etc., with a preference for Angular.

\- RDBMS, with experience in at least one of MSSQL / Oracle / MySQL.

\- Python, C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC.

\- Big Data technologies and cloud platforms, such as GCP BigQuery and Azure.

\- AI-assisted development tools for code understanding, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and productivity improvement.

\- Agile / Scrum methodology, as well as tools such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Octopus Deploy.

\- Basic CI/CD, deployment workflow, and release orchestration concepts.

Experience in the following technologies or practices is a plus:

\- UI / UX design.

\- RESTful Web Services and API implementation.

\- DevOps mindset, including monitoring, logging, deployment risk, system health, release orchestration, and production supportability.

\- TDD / BDD concepts, automated testing, and testable feature design.

\- Observability or troubleshooting tools, such as Splunk.

\- Legacy system modernization, database migration, or application migration experience.

\- Production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/ Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent programming experiences, certifications will be considered.

• Strong software development skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus
