Description
Long Cove Club is seeking a Tennis Court & Facility Maintenance Associate to join our team. This hands-on position is essential to ensuring our clay courts and tennis facilities remain in top condition for our members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to assist in the pro shop when needed.
Court & Facility Maintenance
- Groom clay courts daily, including brushing and lining courts twice per day
- Operate court roller and maintain court playability
- Clean court benches, tables, chairs, and walkways regularly
- Empty court trash cans and remove debris from facility grounds
- Install and remove windscreens as needed
- Perform minor repairs to fences, windscreens, nets, and court equipment
- Paint court fences and maintain facility aesthetics
- Keep maintenance building clean and organized
Pro Shop Support
- Open and close the pro shop according to scheduled hours
- Reserve courts and manage scheduling for members
- Answer phones, check messages, and respond promptly to inquiries
- Notify tennis professionals of schedule changes
- Communicate court conditions and weather-related updates to members via phone and ForeTees
- Process financial transactions accurately
- Monitor court play and assist with tennis ball machine setup
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience in tennis court maintenance or facility upkeep preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
