IMEG is hiring a Bridge Engineering New Graduate in Medley, FL. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one. You will support structural design and detailing for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation type structures.
In this role, you will work within project budgets, support project planning and design documentation, and collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to help meet project goals and client expectations. You will contribute across transportation and bridge work while delivering resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.

What You'll Do
Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.
Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
Assist in project planning and scheduling to help meet project deadlines and objectives.
Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions.
Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
Participate in quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts.
Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of engineering work, and interpret state and local design criteria for specific project needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
What You'll Bring
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent required
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design code
Experience with hydraulic design for bridges and roadway design
Experience with NBIS Bridge Inspection
Basic skills or knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3Dsoftware and the ability to complete AutoCAD training sessions as quickly as possible
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays
Preferred
Master’s Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred
