Job Description

As a Security Officer Secure Entry Operations in Montgomery, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support loss-prevention efforts. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation as directed, control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles, and maintain accurate access records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Operate access-control systems, cameras, radios, and other site equipment as assigned; complete daily activity reports and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Loss Prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
