Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CNA Transition Fellow, you will not just be another set of hands; you will be part of a structured program that bridges the gap between certification and independent practice. You will rotate through various hospital units, gaining diverse clinical experience while supported by experienced preceptors and unit leadership.Every day, you will assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort. Work alongside RNs and LPNs to perform vital signs, intake/output monitoring, and specimen collection across various hospital departments. Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring a positive, supportive, and healing patient experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess a dedicated spirit of service, strong communication skills, a meticulous approach to patient support, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of dignified, high-quality healthcare.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  •  A desire to learn, an openness to constructive feedback, and the ability to ask questions when you are unsure.
  • The ability to pivot quickly between different medical specialties (e.g., Med-Surg, Ortho, Oncology) and adapt to the unique culture of each unit.
  • A strong sense of accountability. As a Float Pool member, your team and patients depend on your punctuality and readiness to jump in
  • The ability to walk, stand, lift, and assist with patient transfers throughout your shift.
  • Current State-Issued CNA Certification in good standing.

 

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

Requirements: 

 

  • High School Graduate / GED required
  • Current State-Issued CNA Certification in good standing.

 

Preferred: 

 

  • CNA experience
