Summary:
The SPA Undergraduate Newsletter Student Assistant will support the creation, design, and distribution of the School of Public Affairs’ undergraduate newsletter. This position will work closely with the Undergraduate Academic Services team to produce visually appealing and engaging communications for the SPA undergraduate community. This position is scheduled for 5 hours a week at $18.40 per hour.
Essential Functions:
Draft, edit, and format newsletter content for clarity, engagement, and accuracy.
Use Mailchimp to design and send the newsletter.
Create and edit visual assets in Canva to complement newsletter content.
Maintain a content calendar and coordinate with staff for timely submissions.
Ensure brand consistency and accessibility standards are met.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
5 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Must be a current AU undergraduate student in good academic standing.
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Creative eye for layout and design.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Familiarity with Mailchimp and Canva preferred.
Experience with content creation, design tools, or email marketing platforms preferred.
All undergraduate AU students are eligible to apply for this position, with a preference for those students with a Federal Work Study award.
