THE JOB:

As a Front Desk Clerk, you are an essential part of creating memorable guest experiences. By creating a welcoming environment, managing the check-in and check-out process, processing guest payments and account transactions, and assisting with questions or special requests throughout each stay, you'll help ensure smooth front desk operations. Your friendly service and attention to detail help every guest feel welcomed and valued from arrival to departure.

THE STARTING RATE: $19
 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:  

• Welcome guests to the property and the MGM Resorts by providing memorable service and anticipating guest needs   

• Respond and assist with guest conflict resolutions in a timely manner and anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve any potential challenges  

• Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing early and late property arrivals/departures and walk-ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check-ins and check-outs  

• Enhance guest experience by offering upgraded accommodations where available in accordance with authorized programs and processes   

• Partner with Housekeeping and other related departments to meet guest expectations and special requests

• Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and demonstrate responsibility in balancing all cash and cash equivalent transactions

• Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests  

• Assist Guest Services Representatives as needed

• Balance room inventory in advance and identify and resolve any over-commitments by room types

• Review out of order rooms for accurate return dates; report any room maintenance problems to management, housekeeping and/or engineering

• Run all daily reports that are required to complete necessary job duties such as group arrivals and departures, housekeeping briefs, and trace reports

  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:  

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Has prior experience working in a hotel or resort setting in a similar front desk or guest service role

• Is proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn and adapt to various hotel software systems
