Job Description:
The Employee Development Assistant (EDA) supports operations by delivering training, monitoring processes for quality and compliance, and assisting with daily workflow. This role helps drive employee development, ensure timely processing of freight and documentation, and supports customer service through issue resolution and reporting.
- Job Type: Full-Time - Permanent Position
- Work Location: 900 HANWELL ROAD FREDERICTON, NB E3B 6A2 Canada
- Workdays: Overnight Tuesday to Saturday
- Shift duration: 22:00-06:30am with the requirement for a later 1:30am – 10:00 am shift in rotation with other Tuesday to Saturday EDA’s
Responsibilities
- Train, onboard, and coach new and existing employees
- Deliver on-the-job training (OJT) and cross-training
- Coordinate employee evaluations, goals, and certifications
- Support daily operational priorities and team performance
- Monitor processes for quality, efficiency, and compliance
- Identify trends and generate performance reports
- Lead team communication (PCM) and promote engagement
- Provide feedback, recognition, and support employee development
- Resolve operational, process, and personnel issues
- Ensure timely handling of freight and documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (required); College/University (preferred)
- Experience in operations, training, or logistics (preferred)
- Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with a strong attention to quality
- Bilingualism is an asset
Additional Information
- Reports to Operations Supervisor
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Regular interaction with employees, management, and occasionally customers/vendors
- Requires professionalism and a strong customer service mindset
