Description
A Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting an organization's computer networks. This includes ensuring reliable connectivity, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, and cloud-based networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Manage user access, permissions, and network security
- Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning
- Configure VPNs and remote access solutions
- Apply patches, updates, and security protocols
- Maintain documentation of network infrastructure
Required Skills
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
- Knowledge of network security and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux systems
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
