Description
Key Responsibilities
1\. Transportation & Warehousing Operations Execution
- Execute transportation operations for import, export, and warehousing of Systems and Non-System Orders (NSO)
- Ensure on-time delivery of Systems and NSOs to customers or consignees
- Ensure proper and high-quality on-site operations at the time of customer delivery
- Manage ground transportation from Manufacturing Finished Goods warehouse to destination without cargo offloading, splitting, loss, damage, or misrouting
- Maintain high safety and quality standards in warehouse and trucking operations
2\. Cost Optimization, KPI Management & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with Account teams and Regional Order Management to minimize Applied Japan FGI cycle time (from Actual Ship Out Date to Customer On Dock Date)
- Support initiatives to reduce Japan inland freight costs with internal stakeholders and Commodity Business Managers (CBM)
- Perform KPI-based data analysis (e.g., OTD, FGI cycle time, transportation cost) to identify improvement opportunities and drive decision-making
- Continuously improve and enhance Applied Japan Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Drive warehousing operational efficiency, particularly for long-term storage items at designated warehouses
3\. Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Clearly communicate requirements and directions to ensure superior service execution to freight forwarders and domestic logistics suppliers
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all import and transportation documents and records
- Maintain strong relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), including designated freight forwarders and domestic transportation suppliers
4\. Global Projects & Systems Integration
- Participate in global and regional projects, including SAP and Transportation Management System (TMS) initiatives
- Support system implementation, testing (e.g., ITC/UAT), and continuous improvement of logistics-related processes and tools
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure alignment between system capabilities and Japan logistics operations
