Pathfinder Bank is seeking a Building & Grounds Maintenance team member to support the maintenance, appearance, and day-to-day operation of Bank facilities. This hands-on position is responsible for general building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, seasonal property maintenance, minor repairs, and other facility needs, primarily at the Main Office and other Oswego locations.

Position Summary:

Responsible for general building and grounds maintenance to help ensure Bank facilities are clean, safe, functional, and well maintained. Performs routine cleaning, groundskeeping, seasonal maintenance, minor repairs, mail room operations, and other facility-related responsibilities. Responds to building needs and emergencies and assists with maintaining Bank properties throughout the Oswego area.

Essential Functions:

• Perform thorough cleaning and general upkeep of Bank facilities, primarily the Main Office
• Perform mail room operations and related responsibilities
• Complete routine maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and addressing general facility needs
• Mow lawns, trim grounds, plow snow, shovel, and apply salt at Bank facilities throughout Oswego
• Open and close the Main Office building as required
• Respond to building emergencies and facility-related issues
• Perform minor repairs, including repairs to cubicles, file cabinets, and other office fixtures
• Move office furniture and equipment as needed
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical work
• Complete interior and exterior painting as needed
• Perform basic carpentry work and repairs
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on small engines, including lawn mowers and snow blowers
• Clean parking lots and weed landscaped areas at Bank locations as needed
• Shred customer information at the Main Office in accordance with Bank procedures
• Pressure wash drive-up areas as needed
• Clean windows at designated Bank locations
• Collect and remove garbage as needed
• Transport sensitive customer information for secure destruction once applicable retention requirements have been met
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid New York State driver’s license required
• Ability to safely operate maintenance and groundskeeping equipment, including lawn mowers, weed trimmers, snow blowers, and truck-mounted plows
• Ability to use standard cleaning, maintenance, and hand tools
• Ability to perform general building maintenance and minor repairs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Requirements

• Ability to travel between Bank locations during the workday
• Ability to lift heavy items and safely operate machinery
• Ability to walk, stand, clean, perform physical maintenance tasks, and remain on your feet for the majority of the workday

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical or general maintenance background
• Experience with carpentry, light electrical work, and minor plumbing repairs
• Knowledge of small engine repair and maintenance
