Base Salary starting from $93,345 + 17% superannuation

The NSW Brain Tissue Resource Centre (BTRC) is a specialised research facility located within the Charles Perkins Centre, within the School of Medical Sciences. The BTRC collects and stores clinically and pathologically characterised human post-mortem brain tissue to support research into neurological and psychiatric disorders, including alcohol addiction. The Project and Administration Officer will support the BTRC by coordinating the associated brain donor program (Using our Brains). through organising project activities, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting brain donation processes and assisting with research data management. The role will contribute to strategic communication initiatives that build community awareness, strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes for affected Australians.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
provide project management support for the Using our Brains donor program, including coordinating timelines, reporting, meetings, events and promotional activities
support governance requirements including ethics, privacy and data storage processes in line with health research standards
coordinating enrolment and characterisation of brain donors
manage research project data, including database maintenance, data entry, reporting and ensuring data integrity, confidentiality and secure record management
contribute to the analysis and dissemination of quantitative and qualitative research findings
provide professional administrative support to the project team, donor community and public, including responding to enquiries and preparing documentation
build and maintain productive relationships with university stakeholders, external partners, health practitioners and community groups
develop and implement communication strategies to promote the donor program and facilitate information sessions and presentations
coordinate project documentation, records management and administrative processes to support effective program delivery
undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you
a health, neuropsychiatric or clinical practice-related employment background
experience working in the higher education sector or a complex, multi-faceted organisation
understanding of ethical, privacy and confidentiality requirements relating to health research and brain donation
excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and deadlines
ability to work independently and collaboratively, using initiative and sound judgement to resolve day-to-day matters
excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
experience managing stakeholder relationships across large or complex projects and developing productive partnerships
NSW Driver’s License or ability to drive in NSW.
