Join Finning Canada, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer!We are currently looking for a dedicated Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of Caterpillar equipment, based in the Medicine Hat area.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
- Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team.
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation and reports.
- Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver's abstract
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses
- Self-motivated and computer literate
- Experience with Costwatcher, DBS, SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assets
- Successful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customer's expectations
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment
Note:
- This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
- Shift work may be required in the future
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
- Hours and shift schedules that may be subject to change to meet Finning or customer requirements, and will be made in accordance with the Collective Agreement
- Please be advised, the successful candidate for this position will reside in the Medicine Hat area.
