Job Description

Just imagine turning complex novelty concepts into manufacturable solutions that launch on time, at scale, across global production sites. Then make it real.

About the role

As our Senior Manager, you'll lead a team of around 10 specialists, including mechanical engineers and project managers, responsible for delivering special novelties through the LEGO® novelty development flow. You'll oversee the successful introduction of decoration and assembly solutions from design handover through implementation in running production, while balancing quality, timing, and cost. You'll also guide projects that require special attention due to technical complexity, launch impact, or challenging timelines, helping reduce risk across the novelty portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Led engineering or project teams delivering complex technical projects
  • Managed project delivery with accountability for quality, cost, and timeline outcomes
  • Built expertise within engineering-related environments or comparable technical fields
  • Directed technical leads and provided guidance on development, design, or equipment-related work
  • Delivered structured project management processes across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated fluent English communication skills at C1 level or above, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied change management practices within technical or operational environments
  • Used Scrum ways of working in project or development settings
  • Gained experience within a multinational company environment
  • Held formal or informal people leadership responsibilities

What you'll build

  • Lead a specialist team responsible for delivering special novelties according to business case commitments
  • Drive risk reduction across the novelty portfolio and support successful novelty introductions
  • Ensure continuous improvements are implemented throughout the novelty flow
  • Oversee technical development projects requiring additional leadership due to complexity or timing
  • Support resolution of production or launch-related issues connected to novelty implementation
  • Help transform designs from Product Development into solutions that can be manufactured at scale across multiple global sites
If you've worked in a role where you've balanced technical complexity, stakeholder alignment, and project execution, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is a proven ability to combine engineering leadership with strong project delivery.

Life on the team

In Novelty Development, we're responsible for delivering novelties on time and in full, from received design through production implementation. You'll join a team that works closely together to solve complex challenges and continuously improve how we work. Success comes from strong communication, thoughtful stakeholder management, coaching others, setting clear direction, taking ownership, showing empathy, and helping people grow while working across functions to remove barriers and create better solutions.

What success looks like

You'll become the leader teams turn to when complex novelty projects need structure, clarity, and momentum. Over the coming months, you'll help strengthen the delivery of increasingly complex novelty solutions while improving the flow from design to production. You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, Product Development partners, and production stakeholders to ensure successful launches and sustainable operational performance.

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
