Description

The NFL's Club Business Development department (Club BD) supports the 32 clubs in delivering direct local value & optimization, best-in-class fan experiences via data-driven insights, and innovative fan, digital, and stadium enhancements and strategies, through direct Club Consulting, strategic analysis, and Club benchmarking. In addition to working directly with the clubs, Club BD works cross-functionally to help guide key strategic initiatives at a League level. The team utilizes a combination of analytics and functional expertise in sales, marketing, data & analytics, digital strategy, and more to develop "next practices" and facilitate the sharing of "best practices" between clubs.

The Club Consulting team within Club Business Development drives integral conversations with the clubs across their day-to-day business efforts inclusive of Ticketing, Sponsorship, Premium, Marketing, Digital, Fan Engagement, and more, both domestically and internationally. This role will assist the Club Consulting team in identifying and sharing business and digital best practices, analyzing data collected from clubs, building out materials to highlight key strategic efforts, and disseminating communications to the clubs.

This role will support clubs through a combination of proactive and reactive consulting efforts, maintaining day-to-day interactions with club business leaders while serving as a strategic resource across a variety of business disciplines. The role will also be asked to support the Club BD team across the department on strategic projects and department-wide initiatives, including operational efforts surrounding international games and tentpole events.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the business of sports and wants to be fully immersed in the business of the 32 NFL Clubs. Whether having worked for a team, league office, agency, technology company, consulting firm, or outside of sports, the role requires intellectual curiosity and a desire to engage with clubs daily to help support and grow their business.

  • Support the league’s fan experience program including overall program coordination/logistics, participating as a gameday observer and post event reporting
  • Support Club Business Development department-wide efforts, including club data collection and club surveys, benchmark reporting, preparation of department presentations, communications, and meeting materials.
  • Build and cultivate trusted relationships with club staff across key business disciplines, including ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, digital, and fan engagement.
  • Meet with third-party vendors across the sports and digital ecosystem to provide introductions, recommendations, and resources to clubs.
  • Participate in all-32 league meetings, workshops, and calls, including leading and facilitating recurring club calls specific to key business and digital areas.
