Description

We are looking for an experienced L&D Manager (HR Business Partner) for one of our global shipping clients. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this role will lead learning and development initiatives while providing HR business partnering support to designated business units. The ideal candidate should have minimum 8 years of HR experience, with hands-on experience in both learning and development and HR business partnering.

Learning & Development

  • Develop and implement the organisation's learning and development strategy and annual training plan.
  • Partner with business leaders to conduct training needs analyses and identify competency gaps.
  • Design and coordinate technical, professional and leadership development programmes.
  • Manage the training matrix, mandatory certifications and regulatory training requirements
  • Manage the training budget, external providers, training grants, records and programme evaluations.
  • Support competency framework development, talent reviews, succession planning and high-potential employee programmes.
  • Lead new-joiner orientation and promote a continuous learning culture.

HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives and workforce requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for designated business units, including interviews, offers, onboarding, probation and confirmation.
  • Support workforce planning, talent acquisition and succession planning.
  • Advise managers on performance management, employee development, organisational changes, HR policies and employee relations matters.
  • Develop employee engagement initiatives and support the implementation of engagement survey action plans.
  • Manage employee offboarding and conduct exit interviews to identify opportunities for organisational improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore employment legislation and company policies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant HR experience, with strong exposure to learning and development and HR business partnering.
  • Experience in training needs analysis, programme development, talent management and succession planning.
  • Sound knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and HR practices.
  • Experience in a shipping, maritime, multinational environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful, hands-on and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
