This is a great opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to work within the Community Health Network Pharmacy, a clinic-based pharmacy in Long Island City, NY

The estimated comepnsation range for this position is $25-28/ hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
This unique position is responsible for the coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying/re-verifying insurance benefits; translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system; communicating and collecting copay amounts; prior authorizations/reauthorizations; and screening, identifying, resolving or deferring orders. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers and take prescription orders
- Operate the cash register by ringing up sales for customers
- Assist in keeping the pharmacy clean and the shelves stocked
- Answer the phone
- Input customer information into the computer system
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BILINGUAL SPANISH A PLUS
- Current PTCB Certification is preferred
- 2+ years retail pharmacy experience preferred with the ability to multi task and work independently
- Start Up pharmacy experience a plus
- Computer experience mandatory
- Proven track record of exemplary customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care
