This position will assist the Data Specialist team and is directly responsible for high volumes of daily data entry (Change of Address, Entry of Appearance, Objections, Workers’ Claims for Compensation, Employer First Reports, Notices of Contest, General Admission of Liability, Final Admission of Liability, Final Payment, and other miscellaneous documents), daily screening and researching of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) error reports to determine appropriate and timely resolution, and streamlining EDI error processes and procedures to both internal and external stakeholders. This position employs independent decision-making through the utilization of provided databases (CoComp, NCCI, My UI, Secretary of State website) to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with established Rules, Regulations, and Objectives, while exercising effective communication between departments for the State of Colorado and external stakeholders. This position may assist the Supervisor with Social Security Number verifications, duplicate Claim Mergers, and other tasks as needed to ensure outstanding and prompt customer service and information exchange.

Experience Only:
Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position to include:
- Entering, retrieval, review, revision, analysis and verification of data in a computerized information database.
Experience in the interpolation and extraction of data from multiple types of data sources, including electronic forms, spreadsheets, PDF's, and Office applications.
Ability to Identify principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down the data into separate parts.
Using computers and computer interface screens (End-user software) to categorize, record, store, transcribe, enter, update and process data.
Experience in communicating data processes and data literacy.
Or
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience handling Workers' Compensation claims, insurance operations, or claims administration.
- Knowledge of state reporting requirements, First Reports of Injury (FROI), and Subsequent Reports of Injury (SROI).
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple units and levels of authority.
- Performing duties similar to those assigned as a classified state of Colorado employee.
Must be a Colorado resident at time of application.
