The Opportunity

As the primary execution partner to the Head of the Strategic Partner Group, you will work directly on the priorities that shape how Hamilton Lane operates globally — organizational design, governance and decision rights, operating model, and the major cross-firm initiatives that define the firm's next phase of growth.

The work offers the pace, variety, and intellectual range of top-tier management consulting, with one meaningful advantage: you stay to see it through. Instead of handing off a recommendation at the close of a project, you build the plans, cadences, and follow-through that turn strategy into results you can point to — working shoulder to shoulder with the leaders making the decisions.

Expect a rotating portfolio of three to five concurrent initiatives, exposure across every business line, region, and function, and a front-row view of how a global private markets firm actually runs. Scope will shift as firm priorities shift. For the right person, that variability is the best part of the job: unusually broad access, a steep learning curve, and visible impact from the first initiative forward.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of SPG and serve as their primary execution partner across a portfolio of approximately 3–5 concurrent, high-priority initiatives at any given time.

• Structure ambiguous, cross-functional problems into clear workplans, milestones, owners, and decision points — often before full clarity exists on the end state.

• Build and run the operating machinery behind each initiative: integrated project plans, meeting cadences, governance forums, trackers, and dashboards that keep work visible and on track.

• Partner with stakeholders across business lines, regions, and functions to gather input, pressure-test recommendations, and drive alignment on org design, operating model, and process-improvement efforts.

• Track commitments and action items with disciplined follow-up; surface blockers, competing priorities, and tradeoffs that require executive decision-making.

• Support change-adoption work by documenting new processes and structures and confirming that affected teams are actually using them, not just that they were announced.

• Move fluidly between initiatives as firm priorities shift, typically supporting a mix of work at any given time.

• Prepare clear, concise updates and materials for senior leadership and executive sponsors.

Qualifications

• Experience in program/project management, management consulting, organizational change management, or another cross-functional execution role.

• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with incomplete information and shifting scope.

• Strong organizational and follow-through discipline; able to build and maintain project plans, trackers, and governance cadences with minimal oversight.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma a plus.

• Sound judgment on when to escalate versus resolve independently.

• Bachelor’s degree and several years of relevant experience in program/project management, consulting, or a similar cross-functional role.
