Job Description

As a Security Officer Dispatch Access in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Dispatcher in a healthcare setting, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor incoming calls and alarms, document activity, and dispatch officers to support timely responses. You will provide professional customer service while helping maintain an organized environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
• Dispatch security-related personnel to calls for service, incidents, alarms, and urgent requests using radio, telephone, and/or computer-aided dispatch systems.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and communicate incident details to appropriate personnel in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor communications systems, alarms, and/or surveillance equipment and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs, dispatch records, and incident reports while supporting coordination with facility departments and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
