Job Description:

BP PLC is seeking a skilled Data Manager to coordinate and optimize our data assets. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and strategic utilization of data across the organization, supporting robust decision-making and business growth.

Role Purpose

• Own data governance, quality, modelling, and business data requirements.
• Bridge business partners and technical teams.
• Ensure enterprise data is trusted, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.
  

Core Responsibilities

• Define and enforce data standards, policies, and controls.
• Manage data quality, risk, metadata, and cataloging.
• Design conceptual, logical, and functional data models.
• Gather and refine business data requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Align and integrate data across multiple systems and domains.
• Validate data mappings and resolve data quality issues.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Analysis, or Data Modelling.
• Experience with enterprise databases and large-scale data platforms.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
  

Preferred Experience

• Data Governance and Data Catalog tools.
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Agile delivery environments.
• Enterprise-scale data transformation programmes.
• Trading, Energy, Supply Chain, or Financial Services exposure.
