We're looking for a highly capable Business Support Manager to join our New Zealand Risk Division and work directly alongside our Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Regional Business Manager & Risk Champion.
This is a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of the business, supporting strategic decision-making, strengthening governance, and helping shape the future of risk management across Rabobank New Zealand.
About the Role
As a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CRO, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of Rabobank New Zealand's business and risk management objectives.
You'll provide insight, analysis, coordination, and operational support across a broad range of business and risk activities, helping drive high-quality governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded risk professional who enjoys working across strategy, governance, stakeholder management, and business performance.
What You'll Be Doing
In this diverse and influential role, you will:
- Partner closely with the CRO and Risk Leadership Team to support business and risk management objective
- Prepare and coordinate Board papers, executive presentations, leadership updates, and strategic communications
- Provide meaningful insights and analysis on the performance of the New Zealand Risk Division
- Track and coordinate strategic initiatives, regulatory requirements, and key actions arising from leadership forums
- Support governance and risk management activities, including operational risk assessments, controls testing, risk profiling, business continuity, and compliance obligations
- Coordinate staff engagement initiatives and support projects that enhance the Risk Division's effectiveness
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across New Zealand, Australia, and the wider Rabobank Group
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help strengthen a positive risk culture
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong business acumen with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
You'll ideally have:
- 5-7 years' experience within banking, financial services, or risk management environments
- Exposure to risk disciplines such as Operational, Credit, or Market Risk
- Experience supporting senior leaders through reporting, analysis, governance, or business management activities
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI
- Experience using Archer or similar governance, risk, and compliance systems
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality management and Board-level reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- The confidence and credibility to engage with senior executives and leadership teams
