As a Data Governance Practitioner, a typical day involves establishing and enforcing policies that safeguard the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the organization. This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to define and uphold data standards. The practitioner facilitates efficient data collection, storage, access, and usage processes while actively promoting data stewardship initiatives. Through these efforts, the role ensures that data governance is comprehensive, effective, and aligned with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of responsible data management across teams.

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and mitigate risks related to data governance and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data governance frameworks and practices.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and fostering professional development.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Collibra Data Governance.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data stewardship programs.
- Ability to analyze complex data environments and recommend governance solutions.
- Familiarity with data quality management and metadata management concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
