Manufacturing Accounting Manager (Future Leadership Opportunity)
Who: An established and growing custom manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on accounting professional with a strong manufacturing cost accounting background.

Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager with extensive manufacturing accounting experience who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and understanding every aspect of the accounting workflow. This is not a corporate accounting position focused on complex journal entries or financial reporting. Instead, we're looking for someone who understands cost accounting, managerial accounting, bookkeeping, and the day-to-day financial operations that keep a manufacturing business running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.

Perform manufacturing cost accounting and analyze product costs.

Support managerial accounting and financial decision-making.

Oversee bookkeeping functions, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

Maintain inventory accounting and manufacturing cost allocations.

Work closely with operations to understand production workflows and financial impacts.

Utilize Epicor ERP for accounting and financial reporting.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.

Develop into a future accounting leader through succession planning.

Ensure financial accuracy while maintaining strong internal controls.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Strong background in cost accounting and managerial accounting.

Excellent bookkeeping skills with the ability to perform hands-on accounting work.

Experience in custom manufacturing or fabrication environments strongly preferred.

Experience using ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.

Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and inventory accounting.

High attention to detail with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
