Job Description

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol Associate in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and Allied Universal standards at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor documentation, and document daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with site policies.
• Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and public responders as needed regarding incidents, policy concerns, and/or changing conditions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
