GIS Analyst

Mission Overview:

We are seeking a GIS Analyst for a consultancy mission at a client site representing Keystone Solutions. The project involves the modernization of a geographic portal dedicated to historical maps, plans, landscapes, and aerial photographs. The goal is to conduct a functional analysis for a renewed platform while maintaining the catalog function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate modern components for building a new version of the platform, including current or new ESRI components versus alternatives like GeoNetwork.
• Explore how multilingual metadata can be reused with minimal adjustments to existing metadata.
• Determine how partners can independently upload metadata to the portal.
• Analyze how end-users can search and visualize the collection.
• Identify the necessary infrastructure and architecture for potential solution scenarios, including cost estimates for licenses, development, and maintenance.
• After selecting a scenario/solution, detail it in a functional analysis to be presented to the partners.
• Develop a prototype showcasing a user-friendly interface and the ability to upload multilingual metadata for a limited part of the desired functionality.
