Summary:

An Industrial Painter II needs to have good attention to detail and dexterity. Industrial Painters are responsible for maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order, possessing a wide array of painting tools. 

Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

• Painting a wide variety of production parts/products using spray painting equipment both Wet and Powder
• Preparing the paint system for daily use, performing preventative maintenance, and cleaning the system as required to ensure optimal performance and uptime 
• Maintaining a room that is conducive to efficient and high quality painting performance including clean floors and lights 
• Demonstrate the ability to understand the system and make changes to system settings to insure efficient paint transfer and produce a quality finish while maintaining a low rework rate 
• Measuring and maintaining proper air flow including changing paint filters as required
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Adheres to company quality protocols and processes
• Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the H&S handbook
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
• Perform duties with safety first quality mind set

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must meet all requirements for a painter I
• Able to paint parts with a rework rate less than 15%
• Ability to paint good quality parts at a standard costing rate or 85% or higher
• Able to fully understand your equipment, and how to troubleshoot basic issues with your equipment, and or the paint.
• Have a solid understanding of blue prints, and work instructions.
• Able to paint parts with minimal supervision.
