We are currently recruiting for Geotechnical Engineer to join our geotechnical Team and be located in our Bangkok, Thailand office. In this role you will be working alongside approximately 120 staff working across a range of professional services.
The Opportunity
As our backlog of work increases, we are seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Geotechnical team in Thailand. Based in Bangkok, our team work on projects locally and internationally across multiple markets including Buildings, Transport and Infrastructure. You will be given opportunities for professional growth and development as well as mentorship from experienced engineers. In this role you will:
Work with clients to understand their project’s brief and technical requirements.
Develop ground models and undertake geotechnical analysis and assessment of key aspects such as settlement and soil-structure interaction.
Undertake geotechnical design for foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, etc.
Provide quality design packages of an appropriate technical standard for review.
Work under the supervision of Senior Engineers (locally and internationally).
What We’ll Like About You
Master’s Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
0-3 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering design.
Knowledge of geotechnical design software (such as SlopeW, RSpile, Settle3, Plaxis 2D/3D or similar software). Experience with other software such as Leapfrog, SeepW or coding languages such as Python would be advantageous.
Have an appreciation of geotechnical engineering risk and uncertainty
Good English communication skills and computer literate.
Enthusiastic and motivated to continue to learn from your peers and senior members of the team.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers (locally and internationally) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team is a benefit.
