Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cutter to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, marking, and cutting materials for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate has strong sewing and fabrication experience, takes pride in precision craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Working closely with the production team, you'll help ensure every project meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
- Measure, mark, and cut fabrics and other materials according to project specifications.
- Execute complex cutting for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects.
- Read and interpret work orders, floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Create, modify, and utilize patterns to ensure accurate production.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with sewing and production teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality before production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous professional sewing or fabric cutting experience required.
- Experience with large-scale drapery, theatrical drapery, upholstery, or custom fabrication preferred.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
- Experience reading and interpreting floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of pattern making and pattern modification.
- Experience operating industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch, overlock (serger), blind hemmer, and grommet press machines, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, or carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
