## Role Purpose

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions across customer and internal environments.

The role focuses on Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Virtualization, Compute Infrastructure, Operating Systems, Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Data Center Infrastructure, and Infrastructure Automation technologies. The Infrastructure Engineer ensures that infrastructure platforms are secure, resilient, scalable, highly available, and aligned with customer business requirements and industry best practices.

The role acts as a technical delivery resource and trusted advisor, supporting infrastructure assessments, modernization initiatives, migration projects, and operational optimization programs.

## Key accountabilities

Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Participate in infrastructure assessments, health checks, and architecture reviews.
• Develop infrastructure designs aligned with customer business and technical requirements.
• Support infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Create infrastructure build documents, low-level designs, and implementation plans.
• Participate in solution validation, testing, and acceptance activities.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, performance, and availability requirements.

Private Cloud & Virtualization

• Deploy and manage private cloud environments.
• Implement and support virtualization platforms.
• Configure and manage virtual machines, clusters, and resource pools.
• Support workload optimization and capacity planning activities.
• Manage hypervisor environments and virtualization infrastructure.
• Support hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) deployments.

Server & Operating Systems Management

• Deploy and manage physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain operating systems.
• Monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Support operating system upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Implement server hardening and security best practices.

Storage Infrastructure

• Configure and manage enterprise storage platforms.
• Support SAN, NAS, and Software Defined Storage solutions.
• Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization.
• Implement storage replication and high-availability solutions.
• Support storage migration and optimization projects.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Implement backup and recovery solutions.
• Manage backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies.
• Conduct backup verification and restore testing.
• Support disaster recovery planning and testing exercises.
• Ensure recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) are achieved.

Project Management:

• Participate in infrastructure implementation projects.
• Support project planning, estimation, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate implementation activities with customers and partners.
• Deliver assigned tasks according to scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Maintain implementation records and project documentation.
• Support service transition and operational handover activities.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with customers, architects, application teams, security teams, and vendors.
• Participate in customer workshops and technical discussions.
• Provide technical recommendations and infrastructure guidance.
• Support knowledge transfer and operational readiness activities.
• Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.

Risk Management:

• Identify infrastructure risks and technical challenges.
• Recommend mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Escalate critical issues and risks when required.
• Participate in vulnerability remediation and security improvement activities.

Compliance & Auditing:

• Ensure infrastructure services comply with organizational standards and policies.
• Support ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and NIST-aligned initiatives.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and asset inventories.
• Ensure infrastructure configurations comply with security baselines and hardening standards.

## Core competencies, knowledge and experience

• 5- 8 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure projects..
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of data center technologies and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with virtualization, private cloud, and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Experience in server, storage, and backup technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Excellent command of English.
