Shuttle Driver: Mon-Fri / 6pm-2am

Description

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely operating a tractor and trailer while delivering pallets of product and dunnage to appropriate location in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:

• This position is considered safety sensitive due to the required operation of motor vehicles. Safe motor vehicle operation requires a constant state of alertness and awareness of the surroundings at all times.
• Perform Pre-trip and Post trip inspections on assigned vehicles
• Drop and Hook trailers
• Maintain accurate records of load placement on the lot
• Maintain clear communication with warehouse and distribution personnel
• Operate transport truck and trailer and box trucks exercising extreme caution to ensure the safety of customers and employees
• To comply with all local, state, county and federal laws set by the Department of Transportation
• Foster relationships with team members and other personnel to eliminate any potential issues
• Perform various duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read, speak, write and understand English to perform basic math skills (Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
• Valid Driver’s License for your state of residency and adhere to driver qualification program
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or permit (Class A)
• The ability to pass and maintain D.O.T. physical requirements
• Previous Tractor Trailer combination experience preferred
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision
• Must maintain a neat uniform and professional appearance
