ED Technician

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an ED Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team.To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running

• Completes documentation on unit and patient records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner
• Performs and documents patient data collection which includes vital signs and I & O
• Demonstrates effective response to respiratory/cardiac arrest following departmental guidelines
• Participates in staff development activities for unit and Nursing Division personnel
• Performs EMT and other clinical duties as outlined in departmental and hospital Policy and Procedure manual
• Performs 12 lead EKG per cardiology policy and practice instruction

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies, or High School GED
• Minimum one (1) year experience with either EMS provider or Fire Services or comparable experience in an emergency room setting as an ED Tech or CNA with a phlebotomy license
• Emergency Medical Technician: Nevada, or Certified Nursing Assistant: Nevada
• BLS-American Heart Association
• Phlebotomist: Nevada, within 6 months

Preferred

• 1 (one) year experience as an EMT
• Associate Of Arts
