About the role
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team on a permanent, full time basis.
Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Finance Manager – Business Partnering, you will provide accurate financial information, reporting, analysis and accounting support to help business stakeholders understand performance and meet financial objectives. You will support financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and continuous improvement across your portfolio, while partnering with leaders to interpret results, identify risks and opportunities, and support informed operational and financial decision making.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
develop effective working relationships with business leaders and operational stakeholders to understand activities, reporting requirements and performance drivers
provide timely financial information, analysis and guidance to support operational and financial decision making across your portfolio
prepare and analyse financial and operational performance reporting, including trend, variance and driver-based analysis for business leaders, Executive Committee, Board and governance reporting requirements
identify financial risks, issues and opportunities and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders
support month-end, year-end, audit, statutory reporting, reconciliations and financial control activities to maintain accurate, complete and reliable financial information
support the preparation and maintenance of budgets, forecasts and rolling forecasts, including analysis of assumptions, variances, risks and opportunities
contribute to finance process improvements, automation initiatives, system enhancements, reporting tools and data governance activities that improve efficiency, reporting quality and financial controls
About you
To succeed in this role, you will:
hold a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline, and have completed or are expected to complete post graduate studies in CPA/CA within the required timeframe for the relevant professional body
have at least 3+ years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, management accounting, commercial finance or finance business partnering roles
have sound understanding and application of Australian Accounting Standards, corporate reporting requirements, internal controls and financial governance
be highly analytical, with the ability to identify key performance drivers, trends, risks, opportunities and financial control issues
communicate clearly and effectively, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, practical insights for stakeholders at all levels
bring a strong internal and external customer focus, with genuine interest in business operations and contribution to Elders’ strategic priorities
have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint
have experience in a sales organisation, agricultural setting or ASX listed environment, with D365, Power BI or Tableau experience highly regarded
