Event Security Officer

Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Event Security Officers to support a variety of special events throughout the Denver area. This is an as-needed Event Staff opportunity ideal for individuals who enjoy working in fast-paced environments while helping create a safe and welcoming experience for guests, event staff, vendors, and performers.

Successful candidates will provide a visible security presence, monitor access points, perform inspections, and assist with enforcing event policies. Officers must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods while maintaining excellent customer service and strong situational awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Event Security Operations

• Perform interior and exterior foot patrols throughout assigned event venues.
• Maintain a visible presence to help discourage prohibited or disruptive behavior.
• Monitor designated areas to promote a safe environment for guests, staff, and vendors.
• Observe surroundings and promptly report suspicious activity, hazards, or security concerns.

Access Control & Screening

• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
• Conduct bag inspections in accordance with client policies and event procedures.
• Verify credentials, tickets, wristbands, or other authorized entry requirements when assigned.
• Assist with directing guests and maintaining orderly entry and exit operations.

Guest Service & Policy Enforcement

• Provide courteous assistance and directions to attendees, vendors, and event personnel.
• Enforce venue rules and event policies professionally and respectfully.
• Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve minor issues whenever appropriate.
• Notify supervisors of incidents requiring additional assistance or emergency response.

Documentation & Communication

• Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and event leadership throughout each assignment.
• Report safety concerns, policy violations, or operational issues promptly.
• Follow all post orders, company procedures, and client instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (or older if required by the client site).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the event.
• Reliable transportation to assigned event locations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in busy public environments.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work varying event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in event security, customer service, hospitality, or security operations.
• Experience performing access control or guest screening.
• Familiarity with incident reporting and venue procedures.
• Strong conflict resolution and observation skills.
