Dohrn is currently seeking a Full Time OS&D Dock Coordinator at our Rock Island, IL Terminal.Pay: $23.00/HourHours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Summary:

Locating, organizing, and correctly placing over, short, damaged, and missing freight.  Maintaining the Overages, Shortages, and Damages dock bays.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Complete OS&D Dock checks and update spreadsheet
  • Research Pros and add pro notes to CLI
  • Locate missing freight and overages, shortages, and damaged freight
  • Break down damaged freight, get piece counts, take pictures, and restack
  • Oversee/arrange freight in proper bays; move freight to go out for delivery
  • Thoroughly investigate OS&D freight, determining damaged versus good and unmarked freight
  • Assist in salvage sale by staging, arranging, and labeling goods
  • Communicate with others in OS&D department and other terminals
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School completion or equivalent
  • Valid Driver License
  • Forklift experience required
  • Must successfully pass a physical, functional screen and drug test
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, problem-solver, self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with supervisor
  • Excellent attendance

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock and two-wheel handcart
  • Will be required to lift up, set down, slide or move weight unassisted that could exceed 80 pounds
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have the ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts and tractors
  • Must have the ability to work around and operate motorized equipment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job as specified in the job description
  • Must be able to perform the job functions in outdoors and in extreme weather conditions
  • Must pass certification in forklift safety and hazardous material handling
